An event is prepared.
So is the filming.
The speakers brought together, the ideas exchanged, the debate: all of it exists only for the length of an event. Filming extends that moment and shares it with the people who could not be there.
A conference cannot be run twice. Scouting before the event, dual recording from the start, sound taken from the desk in the room: what matters here is that nothing can be missed. One person handles the whole chain, from picture to sound.

FAQ
Do you work outside Paris?
Yes, often. Based in Paris, I travel throughout France, as well as to Lausanne, Geneva and across Europe. Travel is quoted per project.
How long before the video is delivered?
As a rule, allow 3 to 7 working days for filming with a simple edit, and 1 to 2 weeks for a more worked edit, depending on what you want. A 24 h turnaround is sometimes possible. The short social clips are delivered afterwards, and a tight deadline can be arranged in advance.
Who owns the rights to the videos?
You hold the usage rights for your own distribution. The terms are set out in the quote.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as you can: my diary often fills up several weeks ahead, and some jobs are booked a year in advance.
Who handles image rights clearances?
You remain responsible for clearances from the people filmed: telling them they are being recorded and obtaining their consent for the intended use. I can provide a consent form and have it signed on the day, if you ask.
What formats do you deliver?
Files ready to publish on the web, on social media or on your intranet, in the formats and lengths you need.
What equipment do you use?
Professional equipment matched to each room: 4K cameras, multi-camera filming, and 32-bit float sound taken from the desk. For live, a dedicated streaming set-up completes it. See my equipment in detail.
What if the room’s sound system is poor?
The sound comes from the desk in the room, so its quality depends on your set-up. Post-production treatment rescues a great deal, but it does not replace a good recording. Decent microphones and a dedicated sound engineer make a real difference to the final result.
Do you film formats other than conferences?
Yes: panels, symposia, conventions, masterclasses, keynotes and webinars all fall within the same scope. To cover an event as a whole, beyond the talks themselves, event films are the better fit.
Do you offer audio-only recording?
That is possible, for a podcast-style audio replay. Let’s discuss it when we talk.
Does live streaming depend on the venue’s connection?
Yes. The livestream relies on the network available on site, over Wi-Fi, Ethernet or 4G/5G coverage. This is checked beforehand and the most stable connection is used. In the event of a network failure outside the set-up, no liability can be accepted; this is set out in the quote.
Can you cover the event in photographs as well?
Not from the same person: filming and photographing at once means doing both badly. What I can do is put together a team with one or more photographers, working alongside the filming.
My diary usually fills up several weeks ahead, and some jobs are booked a year in advance. The sooner we talk, the better I can commit to your dates.
