My path

Born into music

I come from a family of musicians. I taught myself the piano and discovered poetry and writing early on. At sixteen I started producing my own tracks, writing songs that were by turns funny and political. They found their way onto the radio, and into SACEM, the French authors’ society.

Ten years in radio

After graduating from the Studio École de France, I spent ten years behind the microphone as a presenter and reporter, first for Radio France, then for Mediameeting. Field reports, interviews, live shows: that is where I learned how a voice carries, how rhythm works, and how a story holds.

Moving to the image

In 2019 I went freelance and left radio for independent podcasting. Photography became professional: I specialised in portraiture, in natural light and in the studio. The moving image followed quickly. Working as an operator and editor alongside agencies and clients, I refined my visual signature project by project.

Choosing the work

In 2022 I founded Studio Fred H. Able to build a team when a project calls for one, I took on more ambitious work and stopped separating craft from strategy: I bring advice, and a point of view. I invested in high-end equipment, opened up to international clients, and chose to work with organisations whose values I share: social and environmental transition, culture, health, education.

Today

In 2026 I released two singles under the name Balcon sur Rue and launched Symfaunia, a film project devoted to biodiversity. I now work with companies and institutions across Europe, keeping an eye on what’s changing and a hand on the craft, with the ambition of always going further.
